Open call for artists in residence for a project of Early Music

To commemorate the 350 years since the death of Andreas Hammerschmidt in Zittau, the cultural society Ars Augusta e.V. in Görlitz is organizing a residency for singers and instrumentalists with the aim of rediscovering the vocal music of German composers between 1600 and 1680, as well as their relationship to Italy. The residency project has been selected under conditions by Culture Moves Europe, a project funded by the European Union and implemented by Goethe-Institut.

Time and place of the residency

Five musicians will be invited to Görlitz for a residency between March 15 (Saturday) and April 6, 2025 (Sunday, departure on Monday April 7). Regional trips within Germany are also possible during this period. The musicians must be on site for 70% of the time and work together on the project.
